Cet auteur-compositeur et interprète originaire d'Alabama est connu pour ses textes percutants et son style unique brassant Blues, Gospel, Country et Soul. Le disque renferme en plus des rééditions« This Is Clarence Carter » paru en 1968 et « This Is The Dynamic Clarence Carter » sorti en 1969, cinq titres bonus enregistrés entre 1966 et 1967. En tout, vingt-neuf chansons dont des tubes incontournables tels que « Slip Away » ou « Looking For A Fox ». (CL)
