Chanteuse britannique d'origine indienne, Sheila Chandra s'est tout d'abord fait connaître avec le groupe Monsoon en 1982 avec un hit single inattendu, "Ever So Lonely". Mais l'existence du groupe sera de courte durée, et Chandra poursuivra seule, ou en compagnie du producteur Steve Coe, une carrière musicale durant laquelle elle explorera un style très personnel, mêlant cultures indienne et celtique.
