La musicienne et factrice d'instrument Bex Burch est originaire de Grande-Bretagne mais a réalisé ce disque à travers le monde, de Berlin à Chicago et d'Utrecht au Ghana. C'est au Ghana qu'elle a étudié pendant trois ans, auprès du maître Thomas Segura, la construction du gyil, un xylophone en bois des ethnies de langue dagaare, qui est devenu son instrument principal. Elle en joue ici avec une série d'invités, dont Ben Lamar Gay, Oren Marshall ou encore Macie Stewart (BD)
