Michael Franti (né le 21 avril 1966 à Oakland aux États-Unis) est un auteur, compositeur et chanteur américain dont les textes sont particulièrement engagés politiquement. Il est le leader du groupe Michael Franti and Spearhead, un groupe alliant le hip hop au funk, au reggae, avec des touches rock.
Classé en Reggae/Ragga car ce musicien puise en grande partie dans les racines du genre. Pour le côté revendicateur pacifique aussi.
