Belfast-based producer Phil Kieran ports over to Sven Vath's Cocoon imprint for this debut album under his own name, and to his credit, Shh acts as a pretty broad-minded showcase for an artist who's clearly been around long enough not to fall prey to any fleeting techno sub-fads. Over the course of this record you'll encounter everything from short-circuiting electro ('Cut Copy Waste'), to twitchy minimalism ('Playing With Shadows') and even lush ambient soundscapes ('Raining For Old Friends' and 'Foot Of The Hill'), all of which converge to make a pleasingly varied, inter-disciplinary whole.
