Faire mémoire, c'est le but de la minute de silence observée en hommage aux défunts des guerres, des accidents, des catastrophes ou des attentats. Chaque époque a eu ses rites et ses musiques pour porter les vivants à se souvenir des morts. Graham Ross et le Choeur du Clare College de Cambridge ont rassemblé une série de pièces dans cet esprit. L'enregistrement culmine dans le Requiem de Maurice Duruflé (version de 1948), précédé par un programme dédié aux compositeurs anglais allant de Thomas Tomkins à John Tavener. Très belle intériorité de l'interprétation.
