POSITIVELY PHRANC

Phranc began her career in the late '70s with the San francisco punk bands "Nervous Gender" and "Catholic Discipline" (featured in the punk documentary "The decline of Western Civilization" by Penelope Spheeris). In 1981 she went solo, evolving into "The All-American Jewish Lesbian Folksinger", and in 1992 she introduced Hot August Phranc, a sometime alter-ego and spoof of Neil Diamond.
