Deuxième album du groupe originaire de Baltimore, tour à tour très rythmé, syncopés, et puis plus lents, NOOTROPICS mêle dream-pop et rock-indie à un soupçon de Krautrock. Evoquant un croisement entre brian Eno et Interpol, Jana Hunter avec sa voix particulière et son backing band tout autant dépressif que talentueux, entraînent l'auditeur dans des ambiances sombres et fascinantes à la fois.
