Pour son deuxième enregistrement solo, la soprano anglaise fait le choix d'interpéter des airs d'opéras du 20ème siècle. Arpentant cette période en passant par Dvorak, Britten, Alwyn, Stravinsky, Lehar, Barber, Korngold,... Kate Royal sélectionne un panel intéressant de caractères féminins troublés. Elle est accompagnée par un English National Orchestra brillant, dirigé par Edward Gardner. MDW
