Nicolas Achten et Scherzi Musicali présentent ici un programme de songs d'Henry Purcell pour deux voix d'homme, baryton et ténor (Reinoud Van Mechelen) accompagnés par un instrumentarium choisi. Ainsi à la place des habituels virginal et luth, trouvons-nous une harpe triple, un théorbe anglais et une guitare baroque. Cet ensemble à cordes procure un écrin velouté aux voix des chanteurs.
