These archive recordings from the period when John Cooper Clarke was managed by Rabid ( Anthony Ryan Carter, Laurence Beedle and Martin Hannett) show John Cooper Clarke at his most incisive, witty and creative. Martin Hannett would often just put a microphone in a room where John Cooper Clarke was sat holding a conversation and record the witty banter or Martin would turn up and record one of John Cooper Clarke's live performances.
