"Epitaph" est une oeuvre posthume de Charles Mingus, jouée pour la première fois en 1989 au Lincoln Center à Ney York à l'occasion des 10 ans de sa disparition. Le DVD est la captation de ce moment rendant compte de l'ampleur orchestrale et la magistralité de cette oeuvre "fleuve" : 500 pages de partitions pour 2H20 de concerts !
