Fondé en 1939 à Cienfuegos, l'Orquesta Aragon est toujours actif aujourd'hui. Cette charanga a contribué à la popularisation du cha cha cha dans les années 1950 et 60 mais joue également d'autres styles, du danzon au son. Cet album a été enregistré en 2001 à La Havane pour le label Lusafrica. (ASDS)
