Duane Eddy est un guitariste de rock'n'roll américain, né à Corning dans l'état de New York, le 26 avril 1938. Il a popularisé le fameux son de guitare électrique "twang", inspiré de la musique country & western, obtenu en remplaçant les cordes graves de l'instrument par celles d'une guitare basse, et une réverbération très amplifiée. Parent pauvre de ce style, son influence sur le rock et la pop n'est pourtant pas négligeable. Il fut redécouvert notamment dans les années 1980 grâce à un échantillonnage du thème de Peter Gunn par le groupe Art of Noise. [Wikipédia]
