Pour sa nouvelle collaboration avec le label Decca, Andreas Scholl est accompagné par l'Accademia Bizantina, Stefano Montanari et le contre-ténor Christophe Dumaux. Interprète convaincant du compositeur depuis de longues années, Andreas Scholl finalise ici son premier enregistrement dédié a Purcell. C'est un très bel hommage rendu à sa musique intemporelle et émouvante. Il y a (bien sûr) plusieurs grands standards mais j'attire plus particulièrement votre attention sur l'interprétation des plages 6 et 10 (Cold Song et les Lamentations de Didon).
