Le label Rhino Entertainment Company rend hommage à la légende vivante Aretha Franklin avec cette compilation baptisée « A Brand New Me », produite par Nick Patrick et Don Reedman. L'opus renferme quatorze reprises Soul, Gospel et Rythm and Blues réenregistrées avec des choeurs et des nouveaux arrangements symphoniques du Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (aux studios Abbey Road de Londres). On redécouvre de grands classiques enregistrés pour Atlantic Records comme « Respect », « Think », « Angel », « Let It Be » ou « I Say A Little Prayer ». (CL)
